Sherry and Lee and I ate at Made In Kitchen last night. It calls itself Asian Bistro and that's about what it is. More Vietnamese than anything else but there was a fair amount of else as well. And it is lovely. Really lovely. And the food was wonderful! I had eggplant and shrimp that was in a wonderfully delecate sauce that none of us could identify but we all loved. Lee had short ribs which she always does but these were better than average. Sherry had a chicken thing that was yummy. They had some very interesting and giant spring rolls with great dipping sauce and we had beef satay. It was all just delicious.
Sherry and Lee have this interesting thing they do at every bar and restaurant. They always ask the wait person what their name is and then use it - not too much but just the right amount. By the time we leave the joint they have totally bonded with that wait person and much of the rest of the staff. I've watched them do it over and over again with huge success.
Simon was our waiter last night and he was cute as could be. All three of us wanted his hair cut.
