The way that Netflix works is that you keep a list in sending order. When you send a movie back, they send you the one at the top of your list.

The Rookie is in house now and will be on screen this afternoon.

Here's my list:

The Rookie
AntiTrust
Haiku Tunnel
Bob Roberts
Serendipity
Things You Can Tell Just By Looking at Her
High Heels and Low Lifes
All Over the Guy
Finding Forrester
Clockwatchers
It's in the Water
Say Anything
Summer Catch
For Love of the Game
In the Company of Men
Pauline and Paulette
The Royal Tenenbaums
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
What Women Want
Different for Girls
Miami Rhapsody
Bloodwork
Never Again
About a Boy

As you can tell there are some truisms:

1. I'm not big on dark, brooding movies that make me think.
2. I read a lot of mysteries and so am not that interested, generally, in seeing them on screen.
3. I have seen maybe 5 movies in movie theaters in the last 5 years.
4. I rarely like to see a movie again.
5. I'm not big on old movie.

I hate it when I don't Ctrl+A Ctrl+C before hitting Post Comment - which is what happened just now.

That's an interesting list of movies you have there. Ive heard of just a few from them. I used to go see a lot of movies until my friend Glenn died. Now if it's not on HBO, 99% of the time, I haven't seen it.

I never rent movies as I don't have a car and there's no video rental place within walking distance. I always wondered about NetFlix. I'm glad you are conducting this experiment so I can learn from it. Thanx!

Haiku Tunnel is on HBO right now. I would have never considered watching it if I hadn't seen it on your list.

It's kinda slow tho...

We ordered Mash season 1 (hubby is a MASH nut....can even tell me in the first 3 seconds what the episode is about, but he still loves to watch and re-watch). Also, Stuart Little 2....kids love it and it is surprisingly cute. Then a movie called Hometown Legend...a high school football movie that is really cute.

Here's what's in our Queue:
Remember the Titans
October Sky
The Royal Tenenbaums
Little Big League
12 Monkeys
The Fisher King
Hedwig and the Angry Inch
Anywhere But Here
Girl, Interrupted
I Am Sam

Thanks for the movie info. I, too, never get to a theater. Seems like we just find other things to do, like nap. I am a child of the 60's too. Didn't I read that you were?

I am adding you to my friends list, hope that's ok.

Ha Ha, I will be 58 this year. Kjaz and I share a birthday, Not a year though. Nice to be on board. Not only am I a flower child, but I actually lived in San Francisco in the 60s. I think I was just a one step ahead of flower children. I am a native Californian, close enough.

My friends and I would dress up like hippies and go watch the tourists watch us. We lived pretty close to the Haight District. Good old times. I wasn't a druggie though.
