Day 165 - 2
Aug. 27th, 2007 08:09 amMany folks missing from the regular crowd this morning... wonder if they've gone for the week?
I did 10 minutes on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the rowing machine and the bike.
Jerome was there and asked after my progress. I assured him I was doing good and I am. I feel good and energetic. I do what I want to do and go where I want to go without the previous fear of getting too worn out to make it home. And I'm still engaged in the workouts. It's second nature to me now.
Wake up, coffee and paper, LJFriends page and a quick check for any flash fire work emails. Then roll out of bed into my workout clothes and out the door. It's all autopilot now.
And so it my sticker!!!

Date: 2007-08-27 06:03 pm (UTC)Before I started this, I got tired way more easily. I mean bone, can't take another step, tired - not sleepy tired. I remember getting to the front door of Costco and realizing how far back the meat counter was and wondering if it was worth the trip even though that was the only reason I was there.
Now I wander around the place as long as I like.
I remember walking around town or in a store and my purse would be too heavy for my shoulder and it weighted nothing.
I would not have been able to walk up the stairs from the ground floor to my condo (4 floors, 9 flights). Now, I wouldn't do it unless I absolutely had to but I think I could.
I can sit longer, stand longer and do more things without running out of steam and without my lower back just killing me.
Mentally? I don't know. It's nice to know that I can now do all the things I outlined and that's mental but it has not improved my outlook on life or my cynical nature. Nor has it made me a better nicer person... Or even smaller for that matter :)
That's not a very concrete answer. Does it help a little?
