Stress less nessing...

In my world, stress is caused when people or things do not adhere to the Rules of Susan Dennis.  This morning I hit about three instances of that in a row and it turned out to be two instances too many.  I hit the wall.

I am not a good vacation taker.  Never have been.  So I don't have the normal release valves that others seem to use so well.  I rarely need them so it works out fine most of the time. 

Today I needed.  I think it's just the recent weeks of continuous heads down and the knowing that there are three free days on their way but there is still two days in the way.  It was just too much. 

BUT I am so lucky.  My co-worker, Tyler, was out of stuff to do and happily took over all my bugs.  I spent some time working on one web issue that was not accepting the fix I know it needed so I just left.  I went to the library and to the grocery story and stopped at KFC for fat for lunch (extra crispy).  I good good books at the library.  Did not buy stuff I don't need at the grocery story and the KFC fat was sufficiently gross to prevent me from doing that again any time soon.

I'm feeling better BUT really only better enough to get though tomorrow.  By next Tuesday, I'll be back to my perfectly flawed self.

Speaking of KFC....you know, I'd swear that KFC tasted *soooooo* much better in the 70's (when I was a kid) than it does now. Every once in a while I think I just have to have some and then I regret it when I do. For exactly the same reason and I tell myself that I won't do that again. Then six months down the road, I do it...again. Stupid me.

Not sure if it really *did* used to taste better or my taste buds have changed....

Yeah, I'm with you about adhering to The Rules. (It's possible that your Rules and my Rules aren't always the same, but we'll pass over that for now.)
