It's clear that I will not have to waste my October with the baseball playoffs.  I will be able to use the time way more wisely as in checking out all of the new Fall TV shows before they get canceled.    I can watch the playoffs if/when I have time in the schedule.   I think I'll root for kjaz's Diamond Backs.  I've always liked Bob Melvin a lot.

I have a rule on new TV shows that I've applied for the last three years. I don't watch a new show until at least 5 episodes have aired. That way, I don't watch a show when it first airs, get hooked, and then it gets shitcanned before the second episode.

Sigh. I was hopeful after Monday, but figured I'd better not say anything so as not to jinx it. Didn't matter.

I'd suggest rooting for the Tigers, but I don't think they're going to make it either. There's a team based in New England somewhere...
