More of a day than I planned

susandennisI'm not on vacation, I know that but I am doing some serious work coasting while my manager is having her last week of maternity leave and a lot of other people are out on holiday. I've been working on my friend, BJ's, website and on some graphics stuff. (I did finally find that silly Paint Shop Pro book.)
But, today, I really had to work. Kind of shocking. BJ came by my desk about 4:30 and said 'what are you still doing here??!!' He was as shocked as I was.
Ok, I did carve out a pretty big chunk of the day for lunch. I went out to Microsoft to meet a friend I never get to see. For three years I commuted from my house to Microsoft. Today wasn't even at rush hour and it still sucked like a brand new vacume cleaner. UGH. It was a really interesting place to work but that drive just bites it.
Plus I wanted to make sure and not get back here at the height of the football traffic. But, the Seattle Bowl turned out to be a nothing burger. A notice on our condo bulletin board said they had sold 40,000 tickets. By the looks of things 3 out of 4 people bought the tickets for some reason other than attending the game.
It is way past time for my butt to be on the couch.
