Holy crap on a stick.  That little lady knows how to kill a person without even touching them!  I am beat but it was good.  She made me do 3 warm up exercises, pushups, pullups and squats and then 6 killers.  She's very good. Just what I needed.  Perfect.  There was only one I couldn't do at all.  None of the muscles from my armpits to my waste are worth a damn.  They do not work.  I breathe but that's apparently the only thing they are good for. I don't want to make light of breathing but, apparently, there is other stuff they need to do and they are slackers.

But, it is fun knowing that I will be able to do all th stuff I did to day a lot more easily than I did it today.  Nice. And she has a nice manor about her.  She doesn't check hear rate or do any timing - instead she wants me to talk to her.  "If you can talk, I know you are fine."

I asked her how many reps of each of the exercises I should do and she said "do it to fatigue and then do one more".  I like that - so sensible.

And wait at least 24 hours between sessions.  On Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays I can do treadmill and rowing and she suggested that I make Wednesdays a very easy day if not take it off all together.

And we go again next Saturday at 10.  I'm jazzed.

You do realize you are completely undermining your plan to keel over and not have to worry about old age, do you? You and your 'health' and 'fitness' and 'stamina' thing. Show-off.

So glad you're seeing a trainer - I've been doing that for a couple of years now and think it's worth every cent, they know just how far to push and always keep me interested. And my trainer says that whole milk is better for you anyway, all that low fat stuff is just a marketing gimmick. Apparently we're meant to have a bit of fat in our diets, so I'm enjoying milk and butter and chocolate too.

You're one of the people I thought of when I saw yesterday's Mother Goose and Grimm (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/fun/mgg.asp?date=20070915).
