Kung Pao New Years
Dec. 31st, 2002 02:10 pmI left work about 1ish because I could and I was done. I came home and stood around thinking of what to do next when all of a sudden I got a severe jones for Kung Pao Beef. I figured why not and it was early enough yet to get the lunch special. So I called and ordered and then trotted on over and picked up TWO Kung Pao Beef lunch specials!! I just ate most of one and have another for tonight or tomorrow or whenever. It's not only tasty new, it keeps and reheats perfectly.
I was thinking on the way over and back about the year end review stuff and yadda yadda and all I could think of was how grateful I am to have a great Chinese restaurant within walking distance that makes wonderful Kung Pao Beef. And the walking distance is perfect. Not so close so that I'll go evey day and get sick of it. But far enough away so that I feel like I've actually even had a bit of exercise. Perfect!
I will likely do my top 10 books for 2002. I used to work with a bookshop who asked me to do this every year for their newsletter. I'm no longer affiliated with them but I have the former years on my website, might as well keep it up...

Date: 2002-12-31 02:14 pm (UTC)I've never done top ten books. The books I read are from all ages and of all types and it would be a screwy list, to say the least.
