Still sweaty...

susandennisI decided while I was sweaty it would be a good time to get under the desk and get that old desktop out and see what else needed to be done under there. Whew. Last night I removed everything off the hard drive and moved one of the webcams to the Vista machine and so it was now doing nothing under there.
Now it is doing nothing by the front door. Ready to go to its new home.
I'm thinking about getting a new small, cheap box - having my brother build it - that I would use as kind of a faux server. I'd plug in the web cams, the printer, the DSL modem, the external harddrives and kind of use it as the network hub and a backup work machine. I'm thinking about it. I may not do it. A lot depends on how cheap he can get all the bits together and if he can find a mother board with enough USB ports. (yeah, I know, I can get cards and hubs but too many of my USB devices all want the mother board ports...). I'm just thinking...
I have a fair amount of work-work to do and while it could wait until tomorrow, there is the last baseball game on today and the phone won't ring and I just might go ahead and pound it all out today. Or at least a lot of it.
But, now I'm still sweaty and it's time for the shower.
