susandennisMy first day of the new year has been spent like many previous days - on my butt in front of the TV knitting. I was going to answer some Christmas cards with letters and email and I was going to fiddle around with my webcam page - try making the pictures smaller - and I was going to do some other stuff. But, you know what? I didn't. I am the boss of me and I run a very lose ship.
I did spend a good 20 minutes watching Betty try to get into this cabinet here by the computer. It is floor level with a door and houses books and software mainly. And for some reason she decided she needed in there and worked at that door for a good long time. She got very close to getting it open, too. And had she, it is likely that it would have shut right behind her the minute she got in. I must remember, if she's ever missing to look there.
She finally made so much noise flapping the door - she'd get it a little open and then lost it - that Jake got down off the couch to investigate... Once he got down there by the door she instantly lost interest in the project and went into the bedroom. Cats. They are amusing.

Date: 2003-01-01 05:03 pm (UTC)Viper loves to try to get into the cabinets. She'll do the same thing, sit and paw at them for hours. I think it is a cat thing. Small confined spaces.I had a travel bag packed yesterday, thinking I was going somewhere for New Years Eve (what a dummy I was *rolls eyes*) and ended up leaving it on the floor in the den. This morning, I unzipped it to get my brush out and didn't bother to zip it back. Later this afternoon, I picked it up to unpack it and realized quickly that it was quite heavier than before. Sure enough, Viper had contorted her 18 lbs and managed to get in it. I don't know who scared who the most. I dropped it and she flew out of and all I saw was streak of smoke and cat fur in the air! Ha!
