Am I the last person in the country to refinance?

It appears that I will finanally close on my refinancing today. Amazingly. I'm sure I'm going to get over there and find something wrong that will prevent the closing from happening but at least I have a closing appointment!

It's a good day from a work standpoint to do this and since it's in an office building that is about 20 minutes and tons of traffic from here I'm hoping that the 2:30 time will skirt a lot of the traffic which will be light because it's still kind of a holiday... maybe.

Obviously I'm not counting these chickens until I see the whites of their eyes.

I get (along with everyone else I imagine) junk email and junk snail mail and junk tv ads and junk phone calls asking me to refinance.... I would love to... but I think one would have to have an income above the poverty level to afford a pittance of my bills and existing mortgage. I have applied a couple times to see what happens... they shoot me down and then put me back on their list asking me to refinance.... (I got three in the snailmail today and two phone calls and four junk emails and I turned off the tv with the first one on there)

I need the rate to go down to the 4's for it to be good for us to refinance.

I got in at 6 about a year ago. From 8!
