This is a nice run of the mill Monday here. My manager is back and it's so wonderful to have her here as a safety net and sounding board and sanity check. And she's not even working Mondays and Fridays yet! She's doing email today which is, frankly, all I need. (And it is all about me.)
I've gotten a couple of good things accomplished. A couple of stupid things done. Two boring meetings under my belt and things are good.
I was telling the office manager today how hard it is to find Silly Putty. I've wanted some for about six weeks now and have been on the lookout and haven't seen it anywhere. I was telling her that I was going to have to get onto the internet and just track some down and order it. The VP of Engineering overheard me and popped out with a golden egg of Silly Putty that he got in some Christmas package and gave it to me! And... get this... it's GOLD Silly Putty! How cool is that?
I sent out the invitations to my Mom's birthday party about two weeks ago. I used some really nice oversized square shaped envelopes. Not good. I put stamps on them and flopped them into the mailbox. Had I taken them to the post office I would have learned how unhappy that big envelope makes the post office people. Two came back wanting more postage. I've never seen the other one so I resent today. Dumb me.
No more reruns on TV this week! A new Boston Public tonight! Yahoo.
