We have a bit of a goat rodeo going on at work. Thankgod I am not managing any of it. It's a mess. But, I'm the widget end. The project managers do all the sorting and decision making and just tell me what needs to be done and I do it. We have lots of sites being launched tomorrow at 6 and 8 and 9 a.m. I predict that there will be massive cleanup on aisle ... we'll probably on all the aisles. whew.

I'm the warsh woman today... all the clothes, all the bedding, all the kitchen linnens, all the bathroom towels/bathmat/washcloths, etc. Everything. Load 4 is in the dryer and Load 5 is in the washer.
--
Betty has the strangest cough. It's kind of a dry wheeze with a honk. She's had two fits of it - one last night and one way shorter, milder one this morning. Otherwise she seems fine. Eyes clear, breathing good. It's just strange.
--
I'm gradually getting all my computers organized. I finally have them all networked and have set up easy access so that when I find a link or something on one that I want when I get to another, I can just drop the link or whatever onto the desktop of the other and it's there waiting for me.
Next is to get the music/book files in one place and organized and backed up and ditto with the photos.
--
Tomorrow evening we have Monday night football across the street and some kind of motor cross on the street itself. The sign in our elevator promises that access and egress is going to suck the big one from noon until about 10 p.m. I don't think I have anywhere I need to go, thank fully.
--
The main project manager just sent a note that she would be out for a couple of hours so I'm free until 3! Think I'll catch up on CBS Sunday Morning.

Date: 2007-11-11 11:26 pm (UTC)For some reason "warsh woman" reminded me of an expression a friend way back had for a woman in his building. The building had a common laundry room, and the woman really went overboard on her reading of the washing instructions "wash separately". She'd hog all six (or whatever) machines, all weekend. The behind-her-back nickname around the building was the "wash witch".
