susandennisAll the steaks are cut into susandennis sized servings and wrapped and frozen and all the pork chops are wrapped and frozen (except the one that begged to be dinner tonight).

And then I went down to get the mail but the mail wasn't here yet and I ran into Sandy and Tija in the elevator and they told me that Lee, our regular mailman since about 1998, I think... 1999 for sure, got into a big fight with Starbucks (who took over all the offices in the building across the street). He apparently lost the battle and so got himself transferred to another route. Sigh. Funny cause he broke a lot of rules for me but apparently not so willing to do so for Starbucks.
When I worked across the street and would get a package - "lumpy surprise" he used to call it - he's bring it over to me at work instead of making me wait until I got home. And when I told him I loved catalogs, he'd always add a few extras in my box every day. When I got laid off (both times) he told me who was hiring in the 'hood' and whether or not the company I was looking at were 'good folks' and/or were smelling like trouble. I'll miss him.
Tija and Sandy reminded me of another reason why we all loved Lee, he replace Mad Tim. Tim was nuts but we called him Mad Tim because when he got mad at you, which he did a lot, he just held on to your mail for a couple of days as punishment.
The front door TV Network tells me that we don't have regular yet. We've had nice woman for a few days last week and today I just saw an older guy come in with today's batch.
