You can totally hear the band - that has got to be either very fun or exceptionally annoying.

When I shut the terrace door, most of the sound goes away. Generlly, they march around before the game and march down the street just under my terrace. That's when it's too loud for even the door to block. I just stop whatever I'm watching on TV until they march on by. It's way more fun than annoying.

I love marching bands, so I'd be a big dork out on the terrace every weekend. :)

at home depot they have these lonnnng pruners that you pull a cord to get it to cut.
