HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! My Frodo used to hide his head under the couch with the rest of his body showing. He figured if he couldn't see us, we couldn't see him. Cat's are so fun.
I'm surprised she hasn't figured out how to get that blanket over her. My cat dives and burrows into blankets. She falls asleep and forgets where she is and meows so pitifully because she's trapped. I don't let her burrow in fleece while I'm away, just loopy open afghans because I figure while she's trapped she can at least breathe.
She's let you pet and stoke her for sure - especially if you told her (over and over again) how beautiful she is. And you would be amazed at how silky her fur is. She's a keeper.
