Movie Review - Things you can tell just by looking at her

Netflix says:

A poignant comedy of five interwoven stories all touching on yearning, love and loss in women's lives.

I have no idea how this got onto my list or why I rented it. It was strangely compelling and I'm not at all sure what it was about. My biggest problem with movies is sticking them out until I get interested enough. I have to make myself, sometimes, even sit through the first 30 minutes. This one suckered me in from minute one and kept me rooted to the end and I have no idea why. Weird. But on kjaz's $8, I'd have to give it at least $7.50.

I dunno, I thought it was agreat showcase for the women's acting talent, but it was so about nothing that even the distributor sent it right to HBO after the trailers had ran in theatres for months.

It sure was about nothing but out of the three movies I saw this weekend, it's the one that really has stuck with me. I've been thinking about the various plot lines all day. But, I did wonder why I hadn't ever heard of it before. Interesting about its jaded past.
