Travis is now only a kitten in his head.

He curls up in my hand like he used to only it's like stuffing 5 pounds of sausage into a single serve casing. And he's chunky. At night, we have this ritual... At 10 p.m. the news comes on the TV and I sit at the desk and do one final catch up of my LJ page. He sits on my lap and then when we are done, I transfer him to my shoulder and we open the door to the terrace, and then go into the bedroom. I noticed last night that instead of carrying a sweet little ball of fur, I was carrying a sweet giant sack o' cat! And in the middle of the night, he will often come sit on my shoulder. He used to kind of sit on my face and then roll off to my shoulder. Now he sits on my face and is also already on my shoulder and I wake up not being able to breathe.

But he's a good boy and I love all bascillion pounds of him. I just hope he's kind of done growing.

The stock market is not making me happy. I try to remember that I'm not losing as much as the rich folks and I'm saving a ton on income tax. But, I like it better when the meter goes the other way.

Work is fine. A small flurry this morning and that could well be it for the day. Next week will probably be a killer.

Week after next is the trip to my brother's. Initially, I was going to take my laptop and just keep doing my job. But, I have decided to actually take the days off. The guys I covered for at Christmas, can cover for me and it's really only 4 work days so I'm just going to do it. I'll take the little Lifebook so I can check work email via OWA but I cannot connect it up to the network so email will be it. Be interesting to see how they get along without me. I think they will do fine.

Tomorrow is the Seahawks playoff game and the neighborhood should be hopping. They have already put out floodlights and the first RV's are already in the parking lot. Should be fun to watch from the terrace.

It's hard to believe the regular season games are over already. I feel as though I missed the entire season. The Giants are playing this weekend too but I'm doubtful they'll make it past the first round.

You're not up high enough to peek in on the games are you? If so, my parents might be your new best friends. But you just mean fun to watch all the pre-game and post-game chaos, right?

You guessed correctly. I can see about 100 people in the top northeast corner of the nosebleed seats. Other than that, it's all outside of the stadium hoopla. Tell your folks that I'm sorry. If I could see the field, they would have first dibs on my terrace chairs.

Actually, I think they prefer to watch the games on television anyway. If they really wanted to watch in person, they could afford actual in-stadium seats.

The chaos outside sounds like a world of fun in people-watching. I bet a time-lapse video of the hordes would be cool.

Heh. It sucks that you wake not being able to breathe but I chuckled when I read this.
