I can't find Betty. She often hides for stretches of time but less and less lately. She was there when I went home to check the mail yesterday about 2:30. But, I don't remember seeing her at all last night. In the middle of the night I woke up and realized she wasn't in the bed. This morning I got the flashlight and looked in every nook and crany of the house. No go.

She has a collar on with a bell and a tag that has my telephone number and address on it. The door to the terrace was open but she rarely goes out there and I've never seen her close to the ledge. And the 'ledge' is four tall stories off the ground! But, I have to believe that's where she's gone. I just hope she landed safely.

I left email for my friend Sherry who has Tuesdays off asking her if she cold come up and help me look sometime today. And I left email for the building manager asking him if he's had any reports. Poor Betty! Crap.

Oh dear , Susan :(

She has been in a bit of a mood recently though ..she maybe just wants to go out and about for the day so that she can come home and appreciate home comforts again?

*hug*

Cats get into the strangest places. I've had them get into crawl spaces above closets, behind cabinets and between floors. If she is in the building she'll let you know when she gets hungry enough. Have you called the area shelters and your vet's office? Good Luck. I hope she shows up soon.

Do all shelters and vet offices check those things? If they don't, it would still be worth a call, I'd think.

You poor woman -- you must be sick with worry.

I hope she turns up soon. Safe and sound.

Oh dear

I hope she is hiding in your house. Have you tried shaking the Pounce can?

Does she meow? Sometimes they will respond vocally
but be too scared to move. That happened to a friend's cat. Rascal was under the house in the crawl space for several days.
Even after she knew where he was, he wouldn't move, and she couldn't reach him. I forget how she finally got him out. I do
remember she put tuna on one of her other cats and sent her down there.

Although, Betty doesn't sound like she is a wuss like Rascal.

Don't forget to call Animal Control. She might have lost her collar.

Good luck - I hope you find her soon, hiding somewhere around the place.

This is awful. I hope you find her soon. Good that you have the chip, too.

I feel terrible for you. Hopefully there will be a happy ending.

Wish I could help you look. I'd be there. Best of luck.
