When Travis was a baby (remember?  way back in October?), when I would sit down at the desk in front of the computer, he would sit curled up on my thigh while I computed.  He was small.  He is small no more.  And while my thighs are ample, he is ampler.  And he no longer fits.

Doesn't mean he no longer tries.  And, in the process steps all over the keyboard, requires both my hands leaving me two hands shy for typing...  Several times a day we go through this. 

Finally, I remembered a suggestion kyrielle made back when Jake wanted to play computer.  So I cleared off a spot and got a towel and now we have His Magesty's Computing Pallet.  So far, he's pretty happy with it.

Very cute.

However, the little suckers will take over. My computer desk which is a corner desk and 6" on either side is 2/3 taken over by blankets for the cats.

My meower Morse, who is about the same age as Travis I think (9 months) likes to sit in my lap and purr in front of the computer. It's cute but can get annoying too, of course.

I can’t remember who it was that said ‘The problem with kittens is that they eventually become cats’. Cats are lovely, but they can’t hold a patch against kittens. I can’t help thinking that it’s a shame that cat’s aren’t like mobile phones, and you could up-grade them to a fresh one every 18 months…

Oh, I dunnno... While his kitten size was easier to pocket, I do appreciate his growing maturity. He no longer routinely shreds my arms and while he still likes to play fetch with me, he can entertain himself with his toys for long stretches now instead of needing me to focus on him every single minute. I loved him as a kitten but I'm glad the kitten days are behind us.
