I am glad it is Friday. And, it appears as if I will have no work for the weekend which will be nice. I had a lot of billed hours last month. Enough, probably, to cover the bills for my income tax and my real estate tax. So I can relax a little on the work hours which suits me fine.

The Front Door TV Network has been full of action today.

Right now someone is getting a ginormous new refrigerator.

Earlier I watched Marilyn (from my yoga class - she lives on the 5th floor) and her husband leave and come back 3 times today. This is a big deal because in January Marilyn broke her leg in a couple of places. She's in a wheelchair which he pushes and she carries a walker on her lap. It is painful to watch them navigate the front door. I figure about the time they get it figured out, she'll be on her feet again. I cringe whenever I see her. How does she manage? Even with him? Their unit is 2 stories. The bedroom and shower are upstairs! She's lucky she has him.

The other woman from the gym - don't know her name but she has a pug - got a very very very nice, fancy cubby shelf thing delivered today. I'll bet she had it made. It looked very classy.

Yeah yeah but if I don't watch who will??? God, that refrigerator is HUGE!!!

The Mariners won their Spring Training game today. 2-0 for the non-season. I'd rather they did not use up all of their wins quite yet.

Torchwood arrived today (a day earlier than Netflix said). I believe I will crack it open this evening. Someone better warn Jack.

Can't blame ya - if I lived somewhere with lobby TV, I'd be watching it constantly!

I hope you can get past the way Jack says the word estrogen with a long "E" sound in the first episode. I almost couldn't. The sixth episode of season one, called Countryside, is (in my opinion) the best of the bunch. No special effects, just really good story telling. And it's a very scary episode. Episode 4, Cyberwoman, is laughable.

The hand you saw in the jar that kinda glowed? That is the Doctor's hand.

To further enjoy Captain Jack, and understand more about him...I suggest putting Doctor Who Season 1 Disc 3 on your list to watch the episodes where Captain Jack is introduced: "The Empty Child", and "The Doctor Dances" (which is actually one of the best and kinda creepy Doctor Who 2 parters). Then get Doctor Who Season 1 Disc 4 to see the 2-parter episode that shows how he became what he is now, "Bad Wolf" and "The Parting of the Ways".

If you like those episodes enough to enjoy and want to see more of Doctor Who, just start getting all the discs, as there is a lot in there that pertains to how Torchwood was created. If you aren't interested in watching all three seasons of Doctor Who (they're only 13 episodes a season for both Doctor Who and Torchwood), but you want to find out what happens to Jack between Season 1 and Season 2 of Torchwood...put Doctor Who Season 3, whatever the last disc is, so you can watch the episodes that take off where the last episode of Torchwood leaves off (the episodes are "Utopia", "The Sound of Drums", and "Last of the Time Lords". Then you can watch Season 2 of Torchwood (which is actually airing now on Saturdays at 9pm on BBC America).

I'm going to stop rambling now, because I'm a bit addicted to Doctor Who and Torchwood, and try to recruit new members to my cult whenever possible...and then I ramble. See, I'm doing it now.

Someplace to spend your extra money this weekend

Hi Susan, it's YNTTN. You may have heard that Hilltop Yarn had an electrical fire about a month ago. They had all their yarn ionicly cleaned, or something, anyway the smoke smell is supposed to be gone and they are selling everything they have in stock at 50% off starting tomorrow. It might be time to stock up for opening day... it's a long season.
