I'm ahead, I think but not by much.

This morning I was on the tiny computer looking around the network for the books I ripped from Cd's a couple of weeks ago and could not find them.  Then I looked on one computer and then on the other one and then on the external harddrives.  And just before I was getting ready to restore backups, I remember where I put them...  On a never used external harddrive that I always forget about.

Then I took pictures of my chaise and went to eyefi them to the computer.  But I couldn't find the eyefi folder.  I found some old ones and then I found what must be the latest one but it had no uploads for nearly a week.  Checked Eye-Fi and discovered it wanted a firmware update.  Updated.  Then had to reset the 'save to computer' feature and finally, now, it is downloading all the photos from today and this past week.

These computers think I am just another pretty face.  Mostly they are correct.

See I'm looking for a tiny tiny machine that will fit in my small bag and I think the eee machine would work. To be honest, I'm not thrilled with running linux again. Did you have to do much installation to make it work for browsing etc?

I'll talk to my girlfriend about the Chaisse . If Lee doesnt want it It's tempting.

Betty not included? That takes the fun out of it.

As for original message, how did you rip books to CD? Audio books do you mean?

Aha, makes more sense that way. I was trying to guess whether you meant ripping audio books or scanning (and maybe character-recognizing) print books. A friend with vision troubles has done the latter so she can read regular-print books in large-print format, displaying them on her large computer screen.
