The radio came on at 6 a.m. While I listened to NPR and dozed for the next hour an a half, Travis snuggled up next to me all furry and purry.

Then I got the paper and coffee and got back into bed while I read and sailed Travis' mouse toy for him to fetch.

Now I'm reading LJ. Travis is napping in the hemp basket I keep for paper recycling and Betty is sharing my lap with the computer.

My perfect Saturday morning.

I have my gym session with Rosie at 10 and then, I really don't have any plans. I do have some stuff to return to the library and a hold to pick up so probably there will be a library/grocery (which is next door) trip.

Tomorrow is a St. Paddy's day run which starts at the Space Needle and ends here in my front yard with a giant street party. The roads around me will be closed until 1p.m. They always carve one way in/out by car but generally it's a hassle if it's not an emergency so likely I will not go to the Skylark for brunch.

So it's a quiet weekend here at SDHQ. My new chair/ottoman does make it feel like a different place. So I'll be spending the weekend at my new place!

I didn't realise that the Catholic Church had changed the date of St Patrick's day.
And please can you tell me about the large device by your TV on the left hand webcam,yesterday?
Is it a server or something and is it see-through?

I'm pretty sure that the Catholic Church has nothing to do with our St. Patrick's Day celebrations. As I type this, I can hear a bagpipe and drum on the corner of the restaurant named McRory's next door. They are totally decked out in green.

Are you talking about the purple cone looking thing? If so, it's a hand held vacuum! http://www.dirtdevil.com/Products/productDetail.aspx?id=58250 The top part lifts out for sucking up small stuff. The base is the charger. It's pretty and very very handy!

doh! You said webcam, didn't you! It was the TV that threw me. Ok so there's the red cat bed. Next to that is one of the computers - it's the fancy one with lights and action and the one that I use most often. Then next to that is the monitor for the other one. It's more of a server so I run a screen saver on it so I can see pretty pictures when I look at it. The screen picture changes ever 5 minutes or so.
