My day started out as leisurely as the recent ones and then - BAM!
--
My $30,000 finally got where it was supposed to go. Thankgod. No idea where that original check is vacationing.
--
I got a call from the World's Best and My Favorite project manager. I don't do work for her any more because she's on a different project so we haven't chatted in forever. It was so nice to swap chat with her. She truly 'gets' the situation and me and how frustrating it can be and how hard it is for me just to ignore issues and how frustrating for both of us that there is no one who really has the focus on the issues to fix them. Sympathy is so nice, sometimes.
And she asked me if I could do some work for one of her projects. YES!! She said she'd get it ready this afternoon and send it over.
--
So, I figured I'd get into my car and go run the errands I was going to do tomorrow so I did. I went to my credit union which took way too long but it's done. And then Trader Joe's which didn't have what I wanted but I know where they do. And then Michaels. Where I took my time. I don't have a Michaels nearby which is good cause I'd buy way too much shit I don't need and want. But, today was stuff for my window boxes and yarn. I usually buy yarn online but today's mission was to find yarn I haven't used before and try it out. I had a grand time and filled my cart and still managed to get out of there for under $75.
Then a quick stop at the grocery store and drug store and home. Whew.
--Then I discovered that the work had come in and was not that much so I just sat down and got it done. And now dinner's cooking. And that's what I've been doing all day...
