Finally... I have a full basket of teddy bear fodder. Yum! And a good thing because just as I was opening the box, the woman from my class that was supposed to start on Friday called to say that since I was the only one signed up, it was canceled. Nice of you to let me know after I bought the supplies for it. She was not impressed. She said if anyone else signed up tomorrow, she'd have the class and let me know. Now I guess it's up to me to call tomorrow and find out how to at least get my class money back.

Oh she did offer to move me to the August class. The class/outlet store is in a very old warehouse building on the second floor. No air conditioning. No windows. Oh yeah, sign me up for August. NOPE.

But I have lovely new teddy bears to make. Which reminds me. I need to make the June drop off this month. hmmmm

And the Netlix Player finally arrived! The installation should be the illustration in the dictionary for the phrase 'dirt simple'. Plug the electrical cord into the wall, plug the HDMI cable into the tv and boom. You're there. The setup operation takes under 3 mins. It found my wireless network and latched itself on. And soon I was scrolling through my very own queue. Fun.

I did run into one hitch downloading. I downloaded my first show without a problem but then it wouldn't do it again. It looked like it was not getting a strong enough wireless signal or a big enough pipe. The Tivo's right next to it were showing 100%-95% wireless signal strength and the speed was right about 6MB's. So I rebooted the box and whamo mamo, problem elsolvidore.

I just tested - a movie that plays for 1 hour and 48 minutes took exactly 30 seconds to download. Sweet. I'm going to enjoy the heck out of this thing.

Everyone bitches about the limited catalog... 10,000... I think it's going to take me a while to work my way through to griping about limited catalog.

It's pretty cool. And so simple. It's kind of nice to have one that just does this one thing. And it's cute and little. The box is nearly the size of the remote and the remote is small! You are going to like it. Lots.

Awwww, I'm sorry they canceled your class. I was looking forward to seeing what new things you might create. You do know that I suffer from craft envy, don't you?

I like seeing all of those pretty colors of yarn. Each one has a bear inside just waiting to come out. :)

Oh I don't think you need to worry. I'm not taking the book back :) Once I get a few of these news bears done - the first yarn I grabbed is the softest I have ever felt! - it's a joy to work with - I'm going to get that book out and try my hand at one of those creatures. I'm sure I can do it. I don't need no stinkin' class!
