I got so busy after yesterday's game that I forgot to THANK YOU!!! Seriously, the Red Sox are quickly becoming my favorite team. We appreciate the wins. We desperately do.
It's tradition here in Boston to get absolutely beat down by a team that should not, by any means, be doing that. We're happy to oblige, we'd be confused if it didn't happen or something ;) We'll see what happens this afternoon and tomorrow! Maybe the rest of the team will get suspended, who knows.
We're just so grateful. I suspect that unless the rest of your team does get suspended, you can chalk up 2 more wins for this weekend. I think we have one winning streak as long as 2 games this year but maybe not. I'd have to check and it's too depressing to look.
I am too scared to even check our lineups here today for fear of hearing new damage done to our team!
Mariners were part of my very first homestand here at Fenway - The players were so sweet to me when I had to roll a wheelchair right on through them. Great guys!
I kept coming across your journal on the "friendsfriends" page and loved the Mariners entries. :D
My job is absolutely mundane when you look at it by itself, for if it were anywhere else it'd be humdrum and ordinary. However, add in some goofy old ballpark and a goofy old baseball team and it's a recipe for some serious insanity. I'll try to remember to bust out pictures from my cell too when I grab them at the park!
In the broiler that was Fenway Park today? Oh my stars we were all lucky to get out whole and sane. However, yes, I think we're even for last night now! ;) We'll see how tomorrow plays out when it's even hotter.
So on the way down to New York yesterday, I got a call from a recruiter about an opportunity in Seattle. K and I briefly entertained the idea, until we realized we'd be exchanging the Red Sox for the Mariners.
