Murphy's Roomba

My Roomba performed flawlessly for about 7 months.  Then it started getting cranky.  It would stop mid-job and tell me to clean the brushes.  Then a couple of weeks ago it started doing this twice a run. 

I sent an email to iRobot asking what to do.  They sent me a standard reply on how to clean. 

Then yesterday, the front wheel fell off while it was cleaning!  And it wanted it's brushes cleaned twice.  AND it went back home in about 30 minutes.  (It usually takes about 75 minutes to do the house.)

So another note to iRobot about the front wheel.

This morning I get an email that they have sent me a new 'clean head module' and 'front wheel module'. 

As of right now Roomba has been running flawlessly  for an hour with no request for brush cleaning.  This robot has a twisted sense of humor.

I loved my roomba for a while, but he really does require an excessive amount of cleaning. The little brush stopped spinning a while ago, and now he appears to be stuck in Spot mode.

it is a high maintenance little bugger but for me, it's way better than the alternative.
