My Saturday

I'm working on these web pages from hell. Each one takes about 8 hours to do. I've now done 1.5 and I think there are about 10 more to go. So it's just copy/paste/check/twiddle/copy/paste/check/tweak/lather/rinse/repeat. Whew. At least on the weekend there are no interruptions and I can power through.
But, I quit at 5. And took myself up to Ho Ho for dinner. I walked the long way - well, not really the long way but I did not take the shorter route and took the hilly route on purpose. It felt good to walk the kinks out. The picture above really depicts our International District. It's adorably shabby. That beautiful gate you can see the top of is brand new. The dragon on the lamp post has been there (and on all the lamp posts in the neighborhood) for years. The buildings have seen a lot.
For dinner I had Beef with Three Mushrooms and it was delicious. So delicious that there is none left over for lunch or dinner tomorrow. Oh well.
Here is the picture of the sink in the ladies room there. The rest of the bathroom looks like the bathroom at Walmart. And there there is this beautiful sink. It's wild.

I stopped off at the grocery store on the way home. They didn't have everything I wanted but close enough. I will have to break out one day this week. My library books are due on Thursday.
My outing was nice. It is beautifully cool here and a little misty. It was perfect after watching the baseball game in Boston. It was so hot there, I was sweating!
This evening I'm going to do a little knitting, a little TiVo clean up and some Netflix. My new player is great fun. I can't easily get an ethernet connection over there by the TV so I'm dependent on wireless. The little Roku box was not talking nice to my wireless on a stead basis. But I googled the sitch and found some better settings for my modem/router and now everyone is way happier - even the little bedroom computer that depends on the wireless to connect.
Travis is on my chair waiting for me. Move over buddy, here I come.

Date: 2008-06-08 04:52 am (UTC)People around here are all pissed off about 'where is our Summer'? I say No Summer Needed, thank you!
Try to stay as cool as you can. I sympathize. So much.
