Randomness of musical retardation
Jun. 27th, 2008 01:35 pmI dumped the contents of my mp3 collection onto a SD card and hit 'random'.
Musical hijinks's ensued.
The Everly Brothers, then Tom Lehrer, then Billy Joel, then Marshall Chapman, then Buddy Holly, then Johnny Mathis, oh and now here are the Monkees. Oh and Abba.
This is hilarious.
I suspect each would be thoroughly insulted to be included with the other.
The up side of being musically impaired is that the music I like is all available at the library. I just Wikipedia'd Tom Lehrer to see what's new with him and see he has a compilation collection issued in 2000. The library has 3 copies. All are checked out. I'm 5 in the queue.
Sadly, they list Surrealistic Pillow as 'no available copies.'

There's a condo meeting in the lobby at 6. It's to discuss the redesign of the common areas of the building. Part of me wants to go see what they are talking about. But the rest of me does not want to hear it and does not want to mingle with the masses that make up condo owners who, as a group, are worse than bridge players. They are whiny and irresponsible and unreliable and selfish and generally immature.
Plus the last time they redesigned the interior, they did a very crappy job. The original design showed very little wear before they decided to redo it after 12 years. The redesign hasn't lasted half that.
I guess I'll wait and see how I feel at 6.
