Arlene arrived and we walked on down to the Crab Pot and pigged out and it was great. It's a very touristy place and locals wouldn't be caught dead there. But we were both delighted with it all. We had snow crab legs. The tossed a giant bowl of snow crab legs, potatoes and corn onto the table and gave us butter and lemon and bread and bibs. It was delicious. The crab was surprisingly flavorful but the biggest surprise was the corn. It was heaven!
We made a huge mess and didn't care and had a great time.
It is really hot out. But, the hordes of tourists did not seem to mind at all - they were having a blast and it was fun to watch.
There is enough shade between here and there to make walking back not too too uncomfortable. Arlene went on home and now I'm in the cool cool cool of my air conditioner. The game started an hour ago but I TiVo'd it so it's only the 2nd inning for me.
Time for some cooling and knitting.

I know the truck stops start to get really annoying during tourist season, but we don't have them staying there.
