Slacker!

I slept late.  I stayed in bed and played on the computer and with Travis and then I got up and made bacon and eggs and had a great breakfast. I listened to the Capital Steps July 4th show   I just downloaded David Sedaris' talk that was on the radio last night and now I'm listening to it (on the radio - via an SD card - love this).

I was thinking about going down to SouthCenter which is a giant shopping are about 20 minutes (on a non-traffic) day like today.  I haven't been there in a while and today might be just the day to go.  I think some stores will be open and, hopefully, the rest of the world will be barbecuing somewhere.  If I go, I need to time it carefully.  The baseball game starts at 1 so I need to be home by 11:30 or after 2.  It's too late to go and be home by 11:30. 

I do think tonight I'm going to go up and see if I can't find a Chinese restaurant open for dinner. 

No work today but maybe some tomorrow.  Just a nice slacker day.

Have you read Sedaris's new book? I'm in the last chapter and I am holding off because I love it. He's so off and demented yet completely normal.

When we lived in Phoenix, the Suns made the NBA finals one year. Game time was great for grocery shopping because EVERYONE was at home glued to the TV. Same thing when ASU played in Important Football Games. In the current neighborhood, World Cup soccer clears the stores out pretty well.

My mom loves the Capital Steps. I've never given them a chance. Maybe some day.
