Dark and cool and working out fine...

susandennisAfter the gym, I closed the door to the terrace (my only outside access) and cranked up the AC and turned the fan on oscillate and tried to think of icy things. It has worked. They are still pounding but it does not feel as if it is up my ass. In fact, I can almost ignore it. And it is nice and cool in here.
It's actually not terrible out there, either. I did, in fact, go track down the lunch trailer at their new spot and I went early but, alas, I was not the only smart cookie in the dozen or dozens... I stood in the long line for a bit and then saw that it was not really moving much at all and I bailed.
I remembered Pecos BBQ which is on my way home and peeled in there. Pecos is a Seattle institution. It's an order window and picnic tables. That's all. It's only open for lunch Monday through Friday and often the line snakes around the corner. But, today I was early enough to walk right up to the order window. They have a very limited menu. I got the chopped pork BBQ sandwich. It's pretty decent. Not as good as what you would find in the rural South but a heck of a lot more convenient to Seattle.
Work is not heads down today. I have plenty but I can get through it stress free. It's a lovely change. All around it's a good day here in SDHQ.
