Rutteration

I am in a rut.  Every day lately is the same. 

Get up. Go to the gym.  Work work work.   Watch the Mariners lose.  Go to bed. 
Get up. Go to the gym.  Work work work.   Watch the Mariners lose.  Go to bed.

The problem is that there is no problem.  I honestly don't mind this at all.  Well, I kind of mind the Mariners losing but the rest is fine.  I read my LJ Friends page every day and selected blogs nearly every day.  I read the same newspaper every day.  I watch the same TV news every day.  My diet does not even vary that much. 

I am in a rut, but in my case, it is a nice, comfy rut and I like it.  When I don't, I'll change it.

I spent much of this morning in a long, protracted, very bloody battle with a particular xml file.  I won in the end but there were hurt feelings on both sides and I think they will linger.  It was not pretty.

My thermometer says that it is 83 degrees in here and 84 degrees on the terrace.  It is warm in here but not that warm. 

My rut is calling - back to work.

Yeah, ruts sort of suck after a while. At least the weekends have potential for getting out for a little while.

My weekends are pretty much just like my weekdays and none of it sucks. I wasn't clear. It does not suck at all. I have a great life. I love my rut! And when I don't, I'll change it - proably to another rut :)!
