While waiting for my other toy knitting books to come, legalmoose reminded me of Ravelry where I found lots of fun pictures.  From those pictures I got great ideas.  The orange yarn was on top of my basket and so...  we have a Goldfish!!!

You should line them up in front of the fish wall for the group picture. Just to make the cute lethal.

My daughter has a really cute knit turtle that looks a little like your fish as far a shaping. The cutest part of the turtle is that it's shell is knit as a separate piece from the body then he wears it like a sweater.

You know, in more than 50 years of knitting I have never written down a pattern. So, I might not capture it well but I'll sure try. I started a bigger fish tonight and am taking pictures as I go along. We'll see how it works out!

This is so cute I want to make it, however I did not inherit the talent and/or patience to learn to crochet and knit from my mother. Kind of wish I could. sorry the pics are so big, I don't know how to resize.

Yes, that is a Japanese pattern of a group called Amigurumi - they are cute but a royal pain in the ass to make. I'm not a big fan of crochet anyway.
