Finally

I bought this great cat scratcher at Target a couple of weeks ago and neither Betty nor Travis has been even mildly interested.  I thought I'd sprinkle it with cat nip and see if that helped but I didn't have any and haven't been any place that did recently.  Finally this morning I remembered a toy that they do not like but that has cat nip in it so I cut up the toy and sprinkled the scratcher.

They both investigated thoroughly and then Travis took ownership for a while.



He's now watching it from across the room.  I have no idea what that is about.

Our vet said the response to catnip is a genetic trait that some cats don't have. Our cat Sam doesn't give a shit about catnip. Perhaps your guys are in that category. Cute scratch-post-y thing, though...
