susandennisOften we get notified of stuff going on in the 'hood if it will affect us - traffic-wise or crowd-wise or noise-wise... This morning there's a little ditty about how they will be pouring concrete into the Starbucks hole on Saturday. Here's the hole - it's just across the street (1st ave) from our building.

According to the elevator, they will begin the pouring at 3 a.m. Saturday and expect to go to noon. 3,000 cubic yards worth. The notice says that at 10 cubic yards per truck, that's 300 trucks.
wow. That's going to be some kind of operation! Wonder if they are going to get that crane out of there first?

Did you take that picture? Was that out on the roof of your building? It doesn't look very safe! If you were to fall . . . well, I need to know where the memorial service will be. I'm so there, especially if there's free food! I hope you arrange for there to be free food.

1. the food at my memorial service, honestly, not my call. but, do be careful, there might be meat.
2. actually having a memorial service, not my call. but sweet that you would want to come.
3. there is now rather rusty chain of information from my death to letting my LJ friends know. probably i need to rethink that.
4. while dying from a fall off the top off a building is not my first choice, it wouldn't be my last but in this case, I wasn't close to the roof.
