One option for dental work is sedation. I've had it before and it enabled me to have the needed work done. The problem is that the dentist office will not let you do it unless you provide someone to pick you up. The escort only has get me and walk me out of the office. Last time, I felt fine and not even too dopey. My friend picked me up and dropped me off at my front door and all was fine.

machupicchu's friend Barbara. I thought I remembered that she was kind of available during the day sometimes and might be willing to hire on for this very odd job. I dropped him a note and he hooked me right up. Barbara is agreeable!!
So if whatever the dentist wants to do needs sedation, I can do that! This is huge for me. It also means that if I want to get my teeth cleaned again, I can do it (cause this requires sedation, for me). Whew.
