300 (er,ah, let's make that 30... thanks [livejournal.com profile] machupicchu) good minutes set on Rolling.  I actually tried the other two settings - Target Heart Rate and I forget the other one but I couldn't figure out how to get them to work.  I expected to be asked what I wanted my target heart rate to be but it didn't work that way.  I did forget to put in my contact this morning so I could have missed something.  I'll try another day when I'm not so stressed and blind.

Otherwise all was fine.  No big news.  Dental future looms.

On my elliptical machine, target heartrate is a value dependent on my gender and age and I wear a band across my chest so it can listen to my heartrate. So the machine calculates it to be a specific number. If my heartrate is too low, then it increases resistance, and if it's too high, it beeps at me (or something like that). :)

On the machines at the mini-gym at our old office, they offered target heart rate, but you couldn't use it because the little band that monitors your heart rate wasn't there. Without that piece (which on those, was an optional extra they hadn't bought), it can't actually do it because it can't monitor whether you're in your target heart rate or not.
