Send in the clouds

susandennisAll of the perky weather people have been promising clouds and rain today and tomorrow and now the fucking sun is frying my living room. Bastards. I am hoping that it says cool enough for a trot up to the International District for dinner tonight but that's not going to happen if this stupid sun won't go away. Three more weeks of summer. I think I can make it, I think I can, I think I can...

I made a new and hopefully improved batch of quiche muffins - they are in the oven now. I am waiting...

I have some work work that I need to do today. It's an application that I cannot get to work like it should. I want to spend some quality time with it and see if we can't come to an understanding.

I may go to the fabric store and see if I can find an appropriate covering for my back wedge pillow on the bed. When I first got the latest duvet cover, I just slapped a coordinated case over it. But, now I like this cover a lot and so the pillow I use to lean against needs a proper cover. Today might just be the day to get that done.

I TiVo'd the Olympic opening ceremony twice. I did the Canadian show and the NBC show. I thought it would be interesting to see the differences. It was interesting. They were both very different - an equal number of pros and cons. I'm not an Olympic person. I tried to get into it when my friend, John, worked on the Nagano Olympics and then the Sydney ones. He would call and email with the inside skippy but, honestly, I just never got the bug. I might watch some but probably not much.

It just boggles me anew why politicians are allowed to have dicks when clearly they have no clue how to use them appropriately.
