I do not dissolve in water!!
Aug. 9th, 2008 06:07 pmIt got a littler cooler and I had a hankerin' for mein so I went back to Ho Ho's Seafood. I had BBQ Duck Chow Mein. She said 'you want Hong Kong style?'. I queried with my eyebrows. 'crispy'. Oh yeah. Crispy duck!
Ok, so here's some new news for me. Hong Kong style crispy is the noodles! They toast the noodles. Weird. And the duck was pretty good but so bony. I forget about that. Oh well, it was nice. And it was cheap. $11 with tip.
But when I was done it was raining! So I wandered on down to the Japanese market to see if I could find these cookies I love. They were also very cheap and on an endcap for several weeks and then I could not find them. I had one package left so I saved the outside and had it with me. I found a guy shelving and showed him the package and he found the cookies!! Not on sale but yeah anyway.
Then home. In the now rainy rain! No rain coat, no umbrella, shoes with holes in them. And, no problemo. It was actually kind of nice and a lovely cool.
Now I think I'll have a cookie!
