A different day...

Well, today has been different.

1. My new replacement RAID drive - the one that I got last week? Died today. I'm hoping things come in threes and I am now done since this is the third driver.

2. Meetings from 10-2 at Microsoft were not as horrible as they could have been. It's been eons since I've been on campus and wow. Lots of changes. Interesting. I did not, I don't think, say anything supid or job ending. And I'm home now safe and sound.

3. My Gmail is broken. On two computers. And two browsers so I'm thinking it's not my machine, but actually the server that isn't working. 502 error. Not fatal but disconcerting. Edit: gmail back. whew!

4. I stupided myself on Netflix. I carefully mailed in a DVD on Friday so that I could be in a Sent New One out slot for Monday and get The Wire Season 5. It worked!! ONLY... For some reason known only to my karma, I had the disk set backwards in my queue. So Netflix is shipping out Disc 4 to me today! ARUGH!!

I have work to do and I need to do it.

So you know that its not that Gmail hates you, I'm getting the same 502 error.

re 1: what I did:
- bought a firewire external drive
- backed up my RAID data to it
- replaced the WD drives in the RAID with Seagates
- copied to the new RAID drives from backup
