Mainly Red Heart (Soft and Kids sub brands) and Caron (Simply Soft and Brites) - but I'll use anything that's cheap and washable and not ugly.

Ok, sometimes I wander in those aisles looking at pretty yarns and Hobby Lobby always has sales.

I can't knit or crochet worth crap, but I like looking at the yarn and feeling how soft it is.

What a lovely thought. Medium weight (on cheap yarns like these, there is often a number that looks like this: ). Soft is wonderful - cheap is heaven :)
