All kinds of nice.
Aug. 15th, 2008 04:19 pmI've been work busy all day. Kind of nice and now I'm caught up. Also kind of nice. And it's not nearly as hot out as they threatened plus the sun is clouded up by haze so it's not frying everything. Very nice.
My neighbor Ann, got her stitches out and has had two showers, washed her hair and shaved her legs. She was just a twitter with happiness. She is moving really well - still on crutches but it doesn't hurt to watch her walk. Just amazing. Her new knee is titanium. It's like having inside bling!
I do not know what's for dinner. I hate to heat up the kitchen but I hate to spend the money for restaurant takeout cause nothing on the local menus is grabbing me tonight. Maybe it's a good night to make some tuna salad.
Roomba needs to be cleaned out. I need to start cleaning it out the minute it goes back to home base so it will always be ready for the next time. Robots need discipline, too.
I do need to go move the car back into the garage for the weekend. Maybe I'll go do that now.

Tuna Macaroni Salad - nice COLD meal!
Date: 2008-08-16 07:52 pm (UTC)The fun part is adding stuff "to taste." My mom and sister add canned peas (I don't, but I hate mushy peas.) I sometimes add onion. Broccoli florets or celery or olives or bell pepper or All Of The Above.... any interesting stuff you've got, or just tuna+pasta+mayo+cheese. You can substitute canned or leftover chicken for the tuna - I like to recycle the Costco rotisserie chickens this way.
Half a pound of pasta to 6 ounces of tuna is a good ratio, but again - it's a taste thing. The more "goodie" you add, the more pasta you can put in.
Give it a try sometime - it takes very little time to throw together and I bet you'll be tickled with the result =)
