Work had been so slow that I honestly thought this week, with so many people out, would be the slowest of the slow. Not so. Today was another whackamole day and tomorrow will likely be the same. Fine by me - the coffers will be happy.

I just saw the 7 day forecast on TV... cool and cloudy. I be happy.

The Seahawks play here tomorrow. Batten down the hatches. They had reasonably priced shuttle buses for the past few years - no more. Plus weekday traffic. They are telling people to plan on a very early 2 hours before game time arrival. I think I'll just stay right here, thank you.

Work has quieted down now, thankfully, and I think I'll watch an episode or two of The Wire.

I've just added the first season of The Wire to my Quickflix. I had a look at it on Google and it looks good! Not that I need any more DVDs to watch, it's more that I'm wishing for some time to do some serious TV watching.

It's really good. Here's a tip... turn on subtitles. Seriously. People in Baltimore eat their words and much of the dialogue is street jargon mumbled. It's less frustrating and really fascinating when you can see what they are really saying!

Great tip! Thank you! We love our crime series in this home and HBO can usually be trusted. Hope Quickflix sends it soon, sometimes it's a bit frustrating not to get my first choices right away.
