susandennisI went to the meeting and was surprised at all the people who were there. I also surprised a few 'I thought you never went to stuff like this...' I don't. But, I did.
1) Light refreshments were promised - I don't consider a giant full on buffet of food with a wine/beer/soda bar as light refreshments, but ok... Sadly, I ate before I left.
2) They do sound like this is a go for sure. I hope. But, it also sounds like if all the gods line up with their approval pens and every governmental agency and consultancy group does the same and no one misses any deadline, then possibly, maybe they might be ready to break ground this time next year. If I were buying shovels, I'd budget for 2012.
3) But, it does look cool.
And the presentation was in a 5th floor meeting room with giant expansive decks that was very very nice and fun. I only had my cellphone but it did a fair job, I think.
They are not even close to having a final scope of work and my rocket scientists neighbors were making architecture suggestions and that's when I decided I'd had enough info and split. I'm sure they will be jawing on the deal for hours to come. Ann will give me the skippy later. And Tija was there so I can get her take on it.
I did realize that there are lots of my neighbors I've never seen outside of the gym. They look funny in real clothes.
