Gym report - who's the boss of me???
Sep. 18th, 2008 08:47 amMy mother busted the authoritarian end of the discipline meter. 'Because I said so' was her main show stopper but there was also the 'when you grow up you can have your own rules, until then...'
So today, I woke up and just did not want to go to the gym. No reason. It's an exercise day and I'm looking forward to doing that piece a new way and frustrated with the old one but really, I just didn't want to go.
Then I realized that at 59 and one half, I am grown up!! I can make my own rules. (If you don't believe me, call a medium and ask my Mom cause she said so.) No gym for me today. The end.

Date: 2008-09-18 08:11 pm (UTC)I mentioned that once years later and she was shocked "I let you kids get away with murder! I've always said if i had to do it again, next time I'd be more strict."
I've always been grateful I got in on the first round.
