Waiting for software to finish doing what I asked. Turns out after all of the gym hurry, that two of the things on my todo list cannot be done by me for various reasons. It's for a project manager I rarely (thankgod) do much work for who has very little understanding of the systems involved - hence the requests for stuff that is not possible.

So now I am working on the one bit that is just set up, hit the button and watch it churn.

On some computer in this house there is an audible alert that sounds like a bicycle bell. I have no clue which computer or what it is alerting me about. I can go for days without hearing it and cannot ascertain any change when it goes off. I've come to think of it as my indicator that I have way too much computer stuff around. But, that can't be true...

I am running short of apples. And still no one here has done laundry.

Netflix sent me Sex and the City. I'm looking forward to it. And my Tivos are getting nicely packed with the new shows of the season. Sadly, the baseball playoffs - even without the Mariners - are looking interesting. I need to find some extra viewing hours. There should be a frequent viewing program. If you watch x hours of TV, then you can cash in and get another hour added to your evening for watching. hmmmm

Ok, software is done and so, too, is this entry!

Not even close. Which reminds me, in addition to apples, we need kitty litter. Sigh.

You know, I always have this strange thing going on around this time of year: "So when are my shows going to start their new seasons already?"... "Hey, hold on! Can't you wait until baseball's over? How am I ever going to watch all this stuff?"

The bicycle bell sound is probably some automatic update (virus subscription, Logitech or Quicktime or...).
