Things to do sitting on your ass...
Oct. 2nd, 2008 09:41 amNetflix just added something like 2,500 movies from Starz to it's instant downloads. My DVD queue is very short and, even so, 3 of them on it were now tagged Watch Now - one of those was not even on the DVD list but on the 'saved' as in not available on DVD yet. Wild.
Now I just need to find the time to watch them.
And that dovetails nicely into my desire to find more knitting time. I have self imposed monthly teddy bear and fish quota but
legalmoose reminded me that I need a new hat and I like the one he just finished.
But that discovery led me to back to my Ravelry account where I found a lovely note from a woman asking if she could add my gold fish pattern to the database. I felt terrible that the note was more than two weeks old.
Apparently Ravelry offers NO way to alert you, outside of its confines, that you have a message waiting. That's incredibly unhandy.
But what is handy is the baseball playoffs. They will provide me with the tidy little excuse to not watch the debate tonight but, instead, just to catch the Tina Fey version sometime next week on YouTube. Fine by me. So far, the only thing that NRA-for-Jesus Barbie has done for me is take Joe Biden from worst idea for a VP to Yeah! Joe!!
And speaking of Yeah!!, the Tree That I Hate is getting more crinkly brown leaves every day. The leaves do not turn a lovely fall color on their way to brown and crinkly. They go from green directly to brown and crinkly and then, hopefully, soon fall off.
It's a very slow workday so far today. If this keeps up. I may well be able to make great progress on the items at the top of this entry!

Date: 2008-10-03 10:20 pm (UTC)You know, between you and me, I do not think Ravelry is at all user friendly. I think I've just been spoiled by LJ, but I can't figure out how much of Ravelry even works!

Date: 2008-10-03 10:31 pm (UTC)One of the things that I have most difficulty with is the Scrapbook here on LJ.
I thought I'd use it for my bedroom pictures,it took me ages!
I didn't realise that it kept every single photo that you put in an LJ post when you upload it from anywhere!
And you know how many photos I've posted :-)
Nice to know they are there though
