Added later: I'm seeing more and more of these around town. Besides the fact that they are eat up with cute, I love all the colors they come in. I'd like to invent a new kind of car lease. One lease and you can swap out for one of a different color four times a year!

I've seen a few of those cars near me (there's a dealer nearby).

They are really cute. Not sure how practical they are unless you are a 1 person family though.

I heard that the body is made of plastic panels that can be changed without too much trouble, so rather than trade in the whole vehicle you could just swap the shell for one of a new color!

I love those things. There are a couple in my neighborhood, and I envy the drivers. However, after 17 years of driving a Miata, I'm hooked on the trunk in my Impala. Now, if I could have a second car...

but i'd totally do it if i had a driver's license.

plus: they'll fit in the explicitly-too-small-for-cars spot in front of my house so i won't have to clean out my garage to make room for it.

the colors should change electronically ... or maybe like a mood ring. you know, you rest your index finger on some sensor on the steering wheel and the car turns a funky blue-green ... and if it turns red the people should know to gtfo ...

I've been looking at those on the web, and need to trek to the dealership in either Indianapolis or Louisville and check one out live. Don't get me wrong, I love my ragtop (it averages 22/30 mpg) and will not part with it until it gets hauled to a scrap yard...and then it will get replaced with another ragtop...but it would be nice to have something tiny and really good on gas for local trips. When the nearest grocery store is 5 miles away, and the post office is 12, it would be nice to have a frugal-on-gas "errand car". And for that matter, if I'm not mistaken this comes in its own ragtop version too.

I wonder how they are in snow? I see them here once in awhile, but not in snow.

Up here in The Great White North, my neighbors with Smart Fortwos drive them all year, with no more apparent difficulty in winter than anyone else is having...
