So I have been fairly successful in ducking the pledge drive but this morning, I'm getting thwarted.  I found Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, on of my favorite Saturday shows and this week's guest is Garrison Keillor.  Running a close second to pledge drives, the other thing I hate about Public Radio is Garrison Keillor.

GRRRR  Now listening to Splendid Table which so far is good except it's making me hungry.

The Seahawks are playing at home tomorrow which means no going out to brunch.  I could go today but Sunday brunch on Saturday just feels funny.  I may do it anyway.

There's nothing else much on the agenda.  I have the baseball game and lots of Tivo to watch.  And it's clearly time to dig out the duvet and pick a cover and redress the bed.  I have now three very different duvet covers to cycle through (I like variety!)....  I haven't decided which one yet.

But, I think first I'll take a shower.

Why?

Did you ever like him? I did once. The first show I heard, way back in the first season of PHC, he introduced a folksinger as the man who wrote "the seminal song of whaling on the Great Lakes, Superior Sperm". I listened for almost a year before I gave up on ever hearing another gem like that one.
